Drudgery

It wasn't the first time I felt like this, but I had not the nearest way to figure it out.
I had to take a longer route. One I would like to say was less travelled, but that was not the case. This particular path was well treaded upon. In fact all i could see around was the feet of strangers. Sort of a disorganized march, and all the sounds I could hear were the feet trudging and the low inaudable voices in the distance. I could never quite make it out.
I tried to look up but my nerves would not respond to the powerful thoughts saying "look up, look up" my muscles would not allow, as i fear they had contracted and were taut and stiff. There was a common thread as best as I could tell (other than the forward movement all of us seemed compelled to make), and that was a sense to we were all trying to look upwards. As if there were something more to this experience.

Even if this feeling were fleeting and cluttered with thoughts that seemed to be an endless cascade through my mind. It was there no doubt
